사람들은 교회를 정할 때 내가 교회에서 무엇을 얻을 수 있는지를 봅니다.

주차장과 화장실이 일단 커야 합니다. 에어컨과 차일드 캐어는 물론입니다.

볼 거리, 먹을 거리가 있으면 더 좋고 쉴 공간도 필요합니다.

마치 장거리 운전하던 사람이 휴게소를 선택할 때 갖는 기준과 크게 다르지 않습니다.

교회는 서비스 업체가 되었습니다. 당연히 큰 업체만 살아남습니다.

하지만 성경은 내가 하나님께 무엇을 드릴 수 있는지를 생각하라고 가르칩니다.

구약 시대에는 각자의 형편에 맞게 제물을 준비했습니다.

로마서에서 바울은 내 마음 뿐만 아니라 내 몸 전체를 산 제사로 드리라고 명령합니다.

하나님께 나아올 때, 내가 하나님께 무엇을 드릴 수 있을지, 내가 하나님을 위해 무엇을 할 수 있을지를 생각하며 나아옵시다.

내 삶을 어떻게 하나님께 드릴지 생각하며 나아옵시다.

When people choose a church, they often consider what they can get from it.

First, the parking lot and restrooms must be large. Air conditioning and childcare are a given.

It’s even better if there is something to eat or something interesting to see and a comfortable space to rest.

It's not so different from the standards someone uses when choosing a rest stop during a long drive.

The church has become a service provider. Naturally, only the large providers survive.

But the Bible teaches us to think about what we can give to God.

In the Old Testament, people prepared offerings according to their circumstances.

In Romans, Paul commands us to offer not just our hearts but our whole bodies as a living sacrifice.

When we come before God, let us think about what we can offer Him—what we can do for Him.

Let us come thinking about how we can offer our lives to God.
